A disaster in the making: This lantern post in the vicinity of NP Electronics International on Robb Street, is holding two transformers but is being eaten by termites which have caused it to have a huge hole at the bottom. Due to the weight of the transformers, the post is slightly tilted. Contacted yesterday, Guyana Power and Light (GPL) officials said they were unaware of the issue but will look into it. Persons in the area said they had reported the matter to GPL on numerous occasions.
