Ferrier’s ton puts Malteenoes in strong position against TSC

Malteenoes Sports Club was in a strong position after the first day’s play of the Georgetown Cricket Association Carib Beer and Friends of Cricket Heroes Cup first division match against Transport Sports Club at the MSC ground, Thomas Lands.

Malteenoes SC won the toss and inserted TSC who were dismissed for a paltry 133 with Quinn Procter offering the only resistance with an even 50 as leg-spinners Steven Sankar and Danny Narayan picked up three and two wickets respectively.

Shae Chase and Sunil Singh chipped in with 26 and 24 runs respectively.

Malteenoes, in reply, scored 218 all out on the back of an undefeated century from Deon Ferrier. Ferrier’s 101 contained 10 well timed fours and three sixes. Kwame Cross scored 38 with
