The Carib Beer Heroes Cup winds down this weekend with just a single game between the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF). Having started in the latter half of 2011, this year’s competition has been prolonged due to bad weather. The Heroes Cup has both thrilled and disappointed, with new players emerging and some of the more established players excelling while others fell below par.
The final match has little context, as second placed DCC, gaining full points from this match will be stranded well short of Malteenoes Sports Club.
