After recognising the dormant state of basketball in the capital city, the Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club aims to reenergise players and fans with their annual tournament which is dubbed Pepsi Sonics ‘Refresh your game’ basketball competition which begins next Friday at the Burnham Basketball Court.
President of the Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club Merle Chalmers-Casey said yesterday that her club decided to host this event for yet another year especially at this time when there is not much activity in the sport.
Speaking to members of the media at yesterday’s launching, Chalmers-Casey stated:“Pepsi Sonics Basketball Club has recognised that basketball is at its lowest at this point in time.”
