A family’s tradition

Continuing a family’s tradition: Liksham Nitya Sharna Kissoon is the latest member of the Kissoon family to be admitted to the local bar. Kissoon, who is the 21st person from the Kissoon family to be admitted, had his petition presented to Justice William Ramlal, in the High Court yesterday by former Speaker of the National Assembly, Senior Counsel Ralph Ramkarran. Kissoon, who is a former Queen’s College graduate, worked at the Deeds Registry for five years before taking up a position at the Cameron and Shepherd law firm. While there, he pursued studies in law at the University of Guyana, after which he completed his study at the Hugh Wooding Law School. In photo, Liksham Kissoon (third from left) is seen with members of the Kissoon family and others.
