Bus snaps pole

Bus snaps pole: This Route 32 bus came to rest in the trench at Uitvlugt, after it ran into an electrical post, snapping it in two. The bus was being towed yesterday when it became detached from the vehicle that was pulling it and it then ran into the utility post. The post lay across the road with wires still attached to it afterward. The minibus ended up in the nearby trench and the driver, who appeared dazed, cried out for chest pains. He was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital. “I see the bus just mek one thing and run in and lash the lantern post. The bus was getting tow. Just the driver was in the bus at the time,” said an eyewitness, who noted that some men ran to the scene and pulled the driver out of the bus. Police and personnel from the Guyana Power and Light later responded at the scene.
