The University of Guyana (UG) will be staging its annual track and field championships next week and for the first time in recent years, the event will be staged over a two-day period according to sports coordinator Lavern Fraser-Thomas.
Earlier this week, Fraser-Thomas confirmed that the event will be held on UG’s ball field on Thursday and Friday. In past years UG had rented the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ground at Camp Ayanganna but with the comfort of using its own ground, the event has now been extended to a two-day event to allow athletes
