The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Guyana (FITUG) has condemned the personal and physical assaults, robberies and the other acts of thuggery committed by persons on the outskirts of George-town, on Thursday.
FITUG said in a press release that it was aware that the protest began around mid-morning outside the George-town Magistrates’ Court, in Middle Street, long before any alleged insensitive statement was made by Dr Roger Luncheon but added that statements which were made by Luncheon, could not justify arson, robbery,
