The Georgetown City Council will be distributing demand notices to property-owners for taxes in several city wards from Lacytown to Lamaha Gardens this week.
According to a press release from Debra Lewis, acting public relations officer for the City Council, notices will be sent off to property-owners in Newtown, Robbstown, Stabroek, Werk-en-Rust, Charlestown, Bel Air and Prashad Nagar this week. Notices have already been dispatched to property-owners in Kingston, and North and South Cummingsburg.
Lewis said the City Council urges property-owners to honour their civic responsibilities under the Municipal and District Councils Act, which states that where property-owners cannot be found, or
