Best graduating student: Thandiwe Benn was on Monday admitted to the bar by acting Chief Justice Ian Chang, following a petition by Senior Counsel Keith Massiah. Benn, who for years has been blazing an academic trail, was the best graduating student at the Hugh Wooding Law School, becoming the third Guyanese to have accomplished the feat. The former Queen’s College student, who had graduated with ten grade ones, had also topped the law programme at the University of Guyana in 2010. The young attorney is attached to the Guyana Legal Aid Clinic. In this photograph Benn is seen with Justice Chang after her admission.
