Cabinet green-lights $1B works for Kilcoy/Chesney

Cabinet Secretary and HPS Dr Roger Luncheon on Thursday announced that Cabinet has green-lighted 10 contracts in several sectors, including one valued $1B in the housing and water sector.

According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release, Luncheon made the announcement at his post-Cabinet press briefing on Thursday. The contract in the housing sector is for the construction of roads, drains and structures and the installation of a pure water distribution network at Kilcoy/Chesney, Region Six (seven lots). It is valued $1.015B.

In the education sector a contract valued $34.17M was green-lighted for the rehabilitation of the North West Secondary School in Mabaruma, Region One. Also, a $46.73M contract was given the
