– Golden Jaguars looking to bounce back tonight

Guyana’s Golden Jaguars football team will be looking to bounce back against Curacao tonight after an upset 1-2 loss against their other Group Two foe, St. Vincent and the Grenadines in their opening game of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Cup at the Beausejour Stadium here in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Sunday. The senior national team is in a must-win situation in order to gain six points and be one of the two teams qualifying for the next round.

Captain Christopher Nurse told Stabroek Sport in an exclusive interview following the team’s practice session yesterday that the Jaguars have put the defeat behind them and was ready to roar tonight against
