– official reports needed for action, says Crime Chief
Police ranks operating around the Kako area in Region Eight are being accused of extorting miners and Crime Chief Seelall Persaud is making another call for official reports to be made in order for action to be taken against them.
His call was in response to allegations made by a resident of the remote Amerindian community, who told Stabroek News that villagers, and particularly Brazilian miners, are being terrorised by lawmen.
