Gloriosa rothschildiana is better known in these parts as the Gloriosa lily, or the Glory lily. It originates from Kenya and Uganda in Africa, however, there are other species of this plant which come from tropical Asia.
The feature for which this lily is best known is the striking colour of its flower.
