Sixty eating houses in breach of standards – City Council

The Mayor and City Council says its Public Health Department found 60 of 116 eating houses it inspected to be in contravention of the rules governing places to provide food for sale to the public.

In a press release, the M&CC said this discovery was made by its meat and food inspectorate  during the exercise which was conducted at restaurants, food factories, aerated water factories, retail spirit shops, wine factories, liquor restaurants and hotel bars; bakeries and whole and retail  provision shops, supermarkets, bonds, cold stores and food trays and cane juice stands.
