The Diamond Mineral Water Indoor Hockey tournament started yesterday at the National Gymnasium and GCC Veterans, YMCA men, GCC Ladies and the Renegades men were the first four winners in the tournament.
GCC Veterans playing the first game of the tournament defeated Old Fort by a 2-1 margin. President of the Hockey Board, Phillip Fernandes scored the two winning goals for GCC in the 11th and 20th minutes. Mark George in the 13th minute was the scorer of the lone goal for Old Fort. At half time both teams were tied at 1 all.
Game two saw YMCA of Barbados and Hikers clashing in the first men’s match of the tournament, but it was the Bajans who came out on top with
