The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Guyana Musical Arts Festival launched the 2013 National Musical Arts Festival at the Ministry’s Boardroom, Main Street on Monday.
This festival, which is aimed at improving the quality of Guyanese music and sustaining the country’s musical heritage, is scheduled for April 2013 and will encompass choral and solo performances, musical renditions on instruments including steel pan and drums and dramatic poetry, according to the Government Information Agency (GINA).
