UG students hand over painting to Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre

Several University of Guyana final year students, pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree, on Thursday handed over a painting to the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre. Onika Forde explained that she and 15 fellow students were given a project to paint an educational piece. She said the painting of a market scene was done for the children of the centre, whom it was felt may be unable to experience the market environment owing to their various disabilities. The painting took one month to complete and cost about $40,000. In this photo student Alana Thompson (right) hands over the painting to a staff member.
