A lumberjack was fatally injured on Sunday afternoon after the tree he was cutting fell and pinned him to the ground.
Deaplall Muakelall, 41, and a father of five, died on the spot after the tree smashed into his back while he was cutting it in the Clonbrook Backdam, East Coast Demerara.
According to Deaplall’s wife, Babita, her husband left home around eleven in morning and did not return until she brought his body home to her children.
