At the North Georgetown Secondary School yesterday, an Amerindian Tribal Chief stoops down beside his Indigenous Princess, as the couple is flanked by representatives from Guyana’s other ethnic groups. Several schools observed ‘Culture Day’ yesterday, which saw students dressing in the traditional wear of Guyana’s six peoples, holding concerts, acting in skits and having food sales.
