Labourer, 17, remanded on gun, ammo charges

A 17-year-old labourer was yesterday remanded to prison after he was arraigned in the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, on charges he had in his possession a firearm and ammunition without being the holder of a valid licence.

It is alleged that on February 23, Royston Griffith, of Lot 117 Campbellville Housing Scheme, had in his possession one .32 revolver weapon without being the holder of a valid firearm licence. It is also alleged that on the same
