New traffic lights have been installed at the East Bank junction with the Demerara Harbour Bridge and the number of vehicles in January was up 10% compared to the previous year.
A statement from the Government Information Agency said that in January this year, 260,392 vehicles transited the Demerara Harbour Bridge, an average of 8400 vehicles per day. Compared with the same period last year there was a 9.62 percent increase in the number of west bound vehicles.
