Dover to contest GFCA presidency

Alpha United Football Club coach Wayne `Wiggy’ Dover says that he will contest the post of president of the Guyana Football Coaches Association
when that association stages its annual general meeting and election of office bearers today.

The meeting will be held at the Umana Yana from 10am today.

Dover said the GFCA had been dormant for years and he felt that it was time to resuscitate the organization to help facilitate the development of the sport.

“I decided to run for office because over the years the since I became a coach, the institution has been left quiescent despite having good coaches and no one seems to want to take up the mantle of reanimating and restructuring the entity. This body is supposed to be an integral part in the development of the local game and it’s time we arrest the situation in regards
