Mohammed Hussein, a former driver for the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), was yesterday charged with stealing five gallons of molasses from the company.
Hussein, 46, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and he was granted $70,000 bail.
It is alleged that on March 8, at Alexander Village, Mohammed stole approximately $11,000 worth of molasses
