Floodlights defeat Brazilian side 3-1 in penalty shoot out

Popular softball team Floodlights downed their softball bats and balls to take on the Brazilian miners in two games of football last Friday evening at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground.  The first match, which was held in honour of Ramchand Raghubeer, who celebrated his 59th birthday, was a bruising encounter which saw the Brazilians edging Floodlight in the last two minutes to win by six goals to five.

Floodlight scored early in the first 10 minutes but by half time the score was locked at two goals each. Towards the end of regulation
