Laundry for caretakers at the Children’s Convalescent Home in D’Urban Backlands will be much easier now, following the donation of six washers and dryers from the private sector yesterday.
The donation was made possible through assistance from the Rotary Club of Georgetown and three Rotary Clubs in Canada, Republic Bank (Guyana) and Sterling Products Limited, and was estimated to cost around $2 million.
The facility had just one dryer and one washer to cater for the laundry
