A man, who hit his sister across her back with a scrubbing board because he was angered by the way she was treating their mother, was on Thursday ordered to be on good behaviour for the next 12 months or go to jail.
The 25-year-old man was discharged after his sister indicated she no longer wants to go ahead with the matter, but Magistrate Ann McLennan placed him on a bond to keep the peace.
