Police are actively pursuing leads as they investigate a spate of robberies on Monday which also included a slaying in a shop.
At Guyhoc armed bandits had invaded a shop with the intention to rob but abandoned their plan and discharged rounds after customers began pelting them with bottles. Thirty-seven-year-old Heron Dennis, a father of two of Lot P 72 Samman Street, Guyhoc Park, was struck and subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The wounded robber was later identified as Dwayne Simon of McDoom, EBD he is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital
