Police say that at about 0140h today, a fire of unknown origin completely destroyed a wooden house at Grant 1780, Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.
The remains of a man known as ‘Martin’ and who lived alone in the building was subsequently found among the debris.
Investigations are in progress.
