Guyana swept Jamaica 5-0 in their female team playoffs and the men drubbed Barbados 4-1 as action in the Digicel 2013 Senior Caribbean Squash Championships continued at the Georgetown Club Squash Courts yesterday.
Nicolette Fernandes disposed of Melissa Lue-Yen in straight sets 11-1, 11-8, 11-1. Guyana would take a 3-0 lead as Ashley Khalil crushed Brooke Burrowes 11-5, 11-9, 11-6 and Mary Fung-A-Fat pummelled Tracie Binnie 11-5, 11-4, 11-3.
In the final two encounters, Ashley De Groot beat Nathalie Boreland 11-3, 11-1, 11-4 while Keisha Jeffrey earned a walk over victory to complete the sweep.
On the male side, Guyana downed Barbados 4-1. Richard Chin overcame
