Sudesh Fitzgerald won the Open singles title of the Guyana Darts Association (GDA) tournament at the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) on Friday.
Fitzgerald earned his spot in the final following victories over Colin France by a 2-0 score line and Lallchand Rambharose by a 2-1 margin in the preliminary and semifinal rounds respectively.
He then clinched the title by downing junior player Nicholas Seetaram 3-1.
Seetaram, in his earlier preliminary and semifinal round fixtures defeated Anthony Bissoondyal and Anil Lachman respectively by the
