The Berbice Bridge Company Inc (BBCI) has donated $150,000 towards the reconstruction of the D’Edward Vigneshwar Mandir, following a request for assistance. In a press release, BBCI said the new structure is designed to facilitate an upper flat worship area including a fully air-conditioned sanctum; an open auditorium downstairs for cultural programmes, Hindi, music, dance and religious studies for young people; a kitchen, dining area and lavatory and a storeroom. The company is pleased to support the effort particularly since the mandir will be used for cultural activities and learning to support the development of youth.
