A man was yesterday fined $10,000 for assaulting his common-law wife.
Calvin Caesar pleaded guilty to the unlawful assault on Shabana Curtis when he appeared at the Georgetown magistrates’ Court.
Magistrate Ann McLennan heard that Caesar committed the assault on October 1 at Prashad Nagar.
Prosecutor Deniro Jones informed the court that Caesar and Curtis reside at the same address and share a child together.
