After an absence of more than two years former national senior chess champion Wendell Meusa has returned to local chess and has his eyes fixed on regaining the title of national champion.
Meusa won the national chess championships in 2009 and last played in 2010, competing in a number of tournaments including the Guyana Chess Federation FIDE qualification which he won.
That year he also suffered an upset defeat to current national champion
