Longstanding Demerara Distillers Ltd Chairman Yesu Persaud is to retire.
Demerara Distillers (DDL) made the announcement yesterday in a press conference held at the Pegasus. Persaud is 85 years old and has served DDL for over 48 years.
He will leave the board at the end of 2013 and will be replaced by Komal Samaroo who will take the reins of the Group on January 1, 2014.
