The ninth edition of the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) Diamond Mineral Water International Indoor Hockey Festival was officially launched yesterday at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground, Bourda. The tournament, which is set to commence on November 28 at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, will feature a total of 19 teams inclusive of sides from Barbados, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago competing in three divisions, men’s, women’s and veterans’.
The winning and second place finishers in the men and women’s sections will receive US$1000 and US$500 respectively. The victors of the veterans’ division will receive US$500.
