Minister of Finance Dr Ashni Singh said there is need for a more robust government system and charged managers to implement effective management techniques that produce timely results.
He was speaking at a five-day monitoring and evaluation workshop on Monday at the Guyana International Conference Centre.
According to the Government Information Agency (GINA) the workshop targeted senior programme and divisional managers from the Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Human Services, Labour, Health, Education, Tour-ism, Housing, Water, Legal Affairs and Public Works ministries as well as the Parliament Office.
