Guyana revs to racing title, Gore named champion driver

Jamaican ace driver Doug ‘Hollywood’ Gore won the champion driver trophy but Guyana’s Kevin Jeffrey and the Vieiras, Mark, Stephen and Paul starred at the South Dakota Circuit yesterday and enabled the locals to regain the coveted Caribbean Motor Racing Championships (CMRC) country award.

Jeffrey swept the first two events in the CMRC Group 4 category while Mark Vieira piloted his Mazda RX 8 to pole position in the final event in the second and final leg of the 2013 Seaboard Marine CMRC to help Guyana finish as champions on 508 points.
