Man in jail after scuffle with brother-in law over cleaning home

Earl Fraser, accused of threatening and assaulting his brother-in-law over his alleged failure to clean their surroundings, was on Tuesday refused bail when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that on January 14, at Lamaha Springs, Georgetown, Fraser, 27, used threatening language to Sherwin Thomas and assaulted him, thereby resulting in a breach of the peace.

Fraser, a vendor of Lot 36 Lamaha Springs, pleaded not guilty to the charges when Magistrate Judy Latchman read them.

In his defence, Fraser told the court that he and Thomas live at same residence
