Injured teen improving after deadly New Hope crash

Sixteen-year-old Amanda Lloyd is now responsive after the crash at New Hope, East Bank Demerara that left two men dead on Thursday morning.

Lloyd was injured and had been unresponsive after she was hospital in the aftermath of the accident, in which Denzil Thomas, of Lot 18 Coverden, East Bank Demerara, and Quincy David, of Soesdyke, also on the East Bank, dead.

Autopsies performed on the bodies of the two men by government pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh revealed that they both died of multiple injuries. David, it was found, had a shattered spine.
