The Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) distributed nine hampers to the relatives of persons who perished in boat accidents last year, even as it continues its nationwide safety promotion to help to stem these incidents.
Earlier this month the agency gave hampers to June Moses, wife of 33-year-old Deon Moses who was one of seven persons who died in a collision on the Mazaruni River in January 2013.
