Teens remanded on robbery charges

Two teenagers were remanded yesterday after they appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer two charges for robberies committed late last year.

According to the police, Lorenzo Forde, 18, of lot 4 Drysdale Street, Charlestown and a 16-year-old boy, allegedly committed the offences on December 26 and 30 on High Street, Kingston.

It is alleged that on Boxing Day, the duo, armed with a broken bottle, stole from Mervin Benjamin, a Toyota wagon valued $2 million, $8,000 and one Ice Mobile cellphone valued $10,000.

It is also alleged that on December 30, at Kingston, they stole a 212 Toyota Carina car, with licence plate number PKK 2531
