St Agnes, Ketley Primary win

St. Agnes and Ketley Primary Schools on Thursday registered victories in the Georgetown District of the Scotiabank nationwide Kiddy cricket festival played at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda.

St. Agnes defeated St. Angela’s by 29-runs while Ketley scored a 42-run win over St Stephen’s.

Batting first, St. Agnes posted 135 for 3 off their 10 overs. Oswald Clarke was the top scorer with 12 and Lorenzo Tracey added seven while extras accounted for 19 of the team’s runs. Amunike Hayles was the best bowler with two wickets.

In reply, St. Angela’s were restricted to 106 for 4 in 10 overs. Jared Stephen with nine was the top scorer while Cayden Ferguson grabbed two wickets.

Ketley in their match trounced St. Stephen’s by 42-runs after the latter slipped to 112 for 7 in 10 overs. Extras contributed some 20 runs to the total. Victor Browne picked up four wickets for Ketley, who had earlier scored 154 for 2 from 10 overs. Ketley too benefited from wayward bowling which yielded 30 runs while Emmanuel Watkins effected two dismissals.
