Digicel presented its annual donation to the Parkside Steel Orchestra on Monday as the group prepares for the finals of the Pan-O-Rama Steel Pan Competi-tion as part of Guyana’s 44th Republic Anniversary celebrations.
According to a press release, the Parkside Steel Orchestra was formed in 1998 as an extra-curricular activity for students. It has evolved over the years into a full steel orchestra with over 40 members including children and adults.
