A 74-year-old woman of Queen St. No 79 Village, Corriverton was on Thursday remanded to prison on a drug charge shortly after a dramatic arrest was made at her home by five male officers.
The court heard that on February 20, Evelyn White had in her possession 61 grammes of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
She pleaded not guilty to the offence when she appeared before Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs at the New Amsterdam Court.
