Random selection by GRA of consignments for examination continues

Three large firms, a hospital and a businessman’s consignments were on Tuesday randomly selected for manual examination when the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) held another of its weekly selection exercises.

The Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), Sol Guyana Incorporated, Guy Gas Incorporated, Dushant Persaud Seegobin and the Machine Corporation of Guyana Limited were the five selected in the process, during which taxpayers awaiting service from GRA can volunteer to randomly select the name of a business.

The system, according to GRA, had been put in place as another measure to promote transparency
