The Diamond/Grove Lions Club

The Diamond/Grove Lions Club partnered with the Princess Hotel to participate in the Lions World Lunch Relay held on Friday. Club President Petal Ridley said the event, an initiative of the Lions Club International, was timely and served to remind the public to love and serve not only their immediate relatives but neighbours and friends as well. The group lauded the support it received from businesses, particularly the Princess Hotel which sponsored lunch for 25 residents of the Gentlewomen’s Home and prepared a 98th birthday surprise for resident Mrs Thompson. Matron of the home, Ms Cummings was heartened by the support of the group and expressed gratitude to the Lions and Princess Hotel General Manager Cuneyt Dalcan.
