Insel Air launched

Insel Air launches: Dutch Caribbean Airline Insel Air last evening held its official launch at the Duke Lodge in Kingston. The airline will begin flying from Georgetown to Aruba, Curacao and Miami from the 18th of June. The airline has, up to the end of 2014, introductory fares of tax-free US$258, $299 and $337 respectively for the destinations. Passengers also have the option of connecting to other United States destinations for a fee much lower than the current average US$700 price tag per return ticket to New York and Miami that other airlines are offering. The airline also boasts that Guyanese will eliminate the long immigration and customs lines in Miami since pre-clearance is had in both islands as inspections are performed by US Customs and Border Protection agents there.
