President Donald Ramotar yesterday met more than 25 Christian leaders at the Presidential Complex to brief them on several issues, with primary focus on the Anti-Money Laundering Bill.
Also at the meeting were Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, Legal Affairs Minister Anil Nandlall, and Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Juan Edghill and Presidential Adviser Gail Teixeira, GINA said.
The president and his team explained the negative implications that would result from Guyana’s blacklisting, the effects on all Guyanese, and the need for all Guyanese to support its passage in Parliament, the release said.
