An 18-year-old, accused of stealing a nurse’s handbag, was on Thursday fined $100,000 or an alternative of 18 months imprisonment at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
Magistrate Sunil Scarce heard that on June 30 at the Oscar Joseph District Hospital, Charity, Ramkumar Kissoon of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara, stole a handbag, property of Wendy Fernandes, a nurse attached to the Charity Hospital.
According to the prosecution, Fernandes left her handbag in an office.
